Why We Love National Pet Day
A
Pets provide companionship and unconditional love
Having a pet in your life provides so much more than just the occasional cuddle or snuggles. Pets provide a sense of comfort and unconditional love that can be hard to come by. Even on days when you may feel down, having an animal by your side can help make things feel a little brighter - and that's worth celebrating!
B
Pets are great for our mental health
Studies show that spending time with animals has positive effects on mental health. Owning a pet can be beneficial to those who suffer from depression and anxiety, as it helps lower stress levels, reduce feelings of loneliness and increase happiness. Plus, some pets can even help detect signs of distress if their owner is feeling overwhelmed or anxious!
C
Pets keep us active
Spending time with our furry friends isn't just good for our mental health - it also helps keep our bodies healthy. Taking walks with dogs, playing fetch, and just running around outside can help combat lethargy and encourages physical activity. So put on those sneakers and enjoy some quality time with your four-legged friend!
